Nice has a self-service bicycle rental system, Vélo Bleu, which provides an ecological way of getting round the town.There are 120 bicycle stations with 1200 bicycles and 1715 "bike dispensing" depots (points d'accrochage) in the town. All bicycles are available 24/7 every day of the year.

Nice - Cote d'Azur put its Autobleue 100% electric car-sharing scheme into operation on 9th April 2011 - 6 months earlier than in Paris.

The first French local authority to use the electric car in a car-sharing sceme. the city of Nice has presented Autobleue to its inhabitants. Aesthetic, silent, and with room for four people, it will reduce both urban and sound pollution and traffic problems.

Available in Nice, Cagnes-sur-Mer and Saint-Laurent-du-Var, the urban community plans to have 210 vehicles distributed over 70 stations in the long term.

And to use it? You just need a driving license and to register with the Autobleue service at its agency or on its website:

Tram:tram

The first line of the Nice Tramway opened for service November 2007.
It has relieved traffic congestion and allowed for a cleaner and more environmentally-friendly city; further tramlines are being planned.

The tram runs Monday to Sunday, 21 hours per day. The first departure from Las Planas is at 04:25 and from Pont Michel at 05:10. The last departure from Las Planas is at 00:50 and from Pont Michel at 01:35.

Rush-hour: every 4 minutes
Off-peak times: every 8 minutes

All tickets are a fixed price of €1
Ticket dispensing machines are located at all tram stations and accept cash and credit cards.
